Biomedical Engineer

Team Description:Join the innovative Biomedical Engineering team at ALINA, a leader in the neurotechnology industry. Our team is dedicated to designing, developing, and improving Quantum Magnetoencephalography (QMEG) scanning technology. As a Biomedical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing our understanding of the brain, working closely with a team of skilled engineers, scientists, and researchers. Our goal is to create reliable, cutting-edge technology that can make a significant impact in the fields of neuroscience and medical imaging.

Job Responsibilities:

Design and develop new QMEG devices and systems, enhancing their functionality and user experience.
Conduct research and development on existing QMEG technology to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions.
Collaborate with neuroscientists and clinicians to understand their needs and translate these into engineering specifications.
Prototype and test new device designs, ensuring they meet all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Analyze and interpret data from device testing to inform design decisions and improvements.
Prepare documentation, including design specifications, testing procedures, and technical reports.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in biomedical engineering and neurotechnology, and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in biomedical device design and development, preferably in neurotechnology or medical imaging.
Strong background in engineering principles, medical device design, and product lifecycle management.
Proficiency in CAD software and experience with prototyping and fabrication techniques.
Knowledge of biomedical device regulations and standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with neuroimaging technologies, specifically in QMEG or related fields.
Familiarity with brain anatomy and neurological disorders.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and project management skills.

Pay Range:

The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. ALINA offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.
